I always believe in saying YES. I put all – and I do mean all of my energy into what I do. So… it is with my most sincere apologies that I am writing you all this. After much deliberation – I have decided to cancel my European fall tour. At the time of its inception, I anticipated I would be coming to visit you all with a new record to share. As it turns out, I have already spent much of this year touring, and in doing so, have neglected myself both time to recharge, and opportunity to record a new album.

I do not take a decision like this lightly. I hate disappointing anyone, especially my fans. I could not write and play music for a living without the support of my team and the promoters who organized these shows, but even more so without each and every one of you.

I’ve struggled all summer with this decision, thinking I would be able to juggle my touring commitments while carving out time for myself to be creative and to produce new material; but if I’m being honest with you all, I’ve simply pushed myself too hard. It is seeping through in all of the lyrics of the new album; and it’s reminding me to take a moment to regroup and refocus on the reason I am doing all of this touring – which is the art itself.

I hope that this message can be received with understanding, and that when I share this new record with you next spring, plans can be made for a return visit to Europe. I love the fans and friends we have made on our last two visits, and I really do look forward to returning to share my new music with you.
